NFL: New York Giants at Atlanta Falcons Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

Week 7 is almost done, which means we’ve nearly hit the halfway point in the 2018 NFL season. That’s terrifying to say, considering it feels like the season just started, and no one wants to talk about the long void from football getting nearer everyday.

So let’s not talk about it, and, instead, talk about the NFC showdown on “Monday Night Football” this week. The Atlanta Falcons are looking to save their season after a horrible 1-4 start. They took the first step last week, stealing a divisional game away from the Buccaneers, but their work is far from done. With Matt Ryan and a star-studded offense, they’re the kind of team that has a chance every week, but their defense is seriously hindering them in a competitive division right now.

Contrast that with the New York Giants, who are every bit as dysfunctional as ever. Odell Beckham Jr. and the head coach are trading snipes at each other, and the team is just continuing to lose. Outside of Saquon Barkley, there just isn’t a lot of hope for this team on the horizon, and their 2018 season is basically already over at 1-5.

So how will two desperate teams look facing off against each other in primetime football? Let’s watch and find out.
