There’s no denying the day that Kerryon Johnson had against the Miami Dolphins last Sunday. The Detroit Lions’ second-round pick gave the Lions offense a spark that allowed them to be in control of that game from the very start until the very end.

Johnson kicked things off—as he has for the past three games—with a big outside run on his first touch Sunday. From there, he never looked back. Johnson finished the day with 158 rushing yards and an amazingly efficient 8.3 yards per carry. Both of those marks were easily the best of the week among running back, with only Marlon Mack (126 yards, 6.6 YPC) and Lamar Miller (100 yards, 4.5 YPC) eclipsing the century mark in Week 7.

As a result, Johnson is up for some weekly hardware. He is one of three candidates for the FedEx Ground Player of the Week. The award goes to the player with the most votes from people like you, so GO VOTE.

Here’s how to do it:

Simply go here, vote for an Air (passing) Player of the Week—for some reason Matthew Stafford isn’t a nominee—then place your vote for Kerryon Johnson in the “ground” category. NFL.com states that you can earn 10 more votes if you click on the share button after making your selection.

The other candidates going up against Johnson are the aforementioned Miller and Mack. The only leg up both of those players have is that they reached the end zone this week (Mack twice). However, it’s not on Kerryon that LeGarrette Blount is vulturing his red zone opportunities.

Do the right thing and vote for Kerryon. It is your civic duty.

UPDATE: Johnson is also up for Pepsi Rookie of the Week. Vote for him here.
