Detroit Lions Week 8 inactives: Ezekiel Ansah OUT, Damon Harrison IN vs. Seattle Seahawks

The newest Lion will play. One of the oldest will not.

The Detroit Lions will waste no time in getting the most out of their most recent acquisition. Defensive tackle Damon Harrison Sr. is active and will play against the Seattle Seahawks this week.

The Lions traded for Harrison this week in the hopes to improve their run defense, which has ranked in the bottom three in nearly every statistical category through seven weeks. Harrison is currently riding an 87-game start streak. With him in the active lineup this week, he could push that number to 88, if the Lions decide to start him. But remember, Harrison has only been with the team since Thursday and he played a game with the Giants on Monday.

Unfortunately for the Lions, they won’t be getting back Ezekiel Ansah back this week. For the sixth straight game, Ansah is inactive with the shoulder injury he suffered in the first game of the season. Ansah continues to practice in a limited fashion throughout the week, but he’s still apparently not prepared to give it a go.
