Lions vs. Seahawks: First half open thread

Come chat during the first half of this NFC showdown.

So begins the gauntlet.

The Detroit Lions kick off a brutal six-game stretch today that features every team with a record .500 or better, all conference games, and three divisional games.

The Seattle Seahawks are first on the slate, and they mirror the Lions in a lot of ways. Both entered the season with limited expectations. Both started the season by matching those expectations with a disappointing 1-3 start. Both have seemed to rebound by winning three of their last four, and both still have plenty to prove to silence the doubters.

And both teams look to be a little stronger than in the past. For the Lions, they have a big addition in the middle of their defensive line after trading for Damon “Snacks” Harrison. For the Seahawks, they’re coming off a bye week healthier than ever and will have Ed Dickson and K.J. Wright back for the first time this season.

It’s a huge game for both, so stick with us and chat during the first half of this big NFC showdown.
