Yet another Detroit Lions player became a father this week.

Eli Harold, who the Lions traded for last month, announced on Instagram the birth of his new baby girl:

When Harold was traded to the Lions from San Francisco, the linebacker mentioned the hardships of being instantly traded and moving across the country with a wife in her eighth month of pregnancy.

“I had been starting there the whole time with the new regime. It’s kind of a surprise,” Harold said. “Me and my wife had just moved, she’s eight months pregnant, so it was tough.”

Harold has missed the first two practice sessions this week, but the absences were “not injury related” according to the team. Add that with the fact that we all knew Harold’s wife Kelsey was now nine months pregnant, and it was not too hard to deduce this was coming.

Harold’s availability for this week against the Green Bay Packers is still unknown, but for now, that’s probably not the most important thing in Harold’s life. Congratulations to the Lions’ newest father!
