No game this early in the season is “must-win game” in the most literal definition of the term. If the Lions drop to four losses, they’ll be far from mathematically eliminated from playoff contention and they’ll be no more than three games out of the division.

That all being said, there aren’t a lot of teams that have been able to climb out of a 1-4 hole, and Lions don’t want to be thinking about that during their bye week. So while this may not be a literal “must-win game” for the Lions, it is a huge game if they want to keep their hopes and spirits alive for the 2018 season.

They’ll have to take down their divisional rival Green Bay Packers if they want to avoid that hole heading into Week 6. The rivalry between the two has been surprisingly even over the past five years. Each team has won five out of the past 10, but Detroit won three of those without Aaron Rodgers behind center. Rodgers will play this Sunday, but he won’t be at his healthiest. His knee injury suffered in Week 1 has limited his mobility, but he is certainly more physically fit than he was a month ago.

So will the Lions be able to pull off the minor upset? Come watch the game with us and find out!
