I miss Golden Tate.
The Detroit Lions offense has looked completely out of sorts without Tate on the roster, and while their problems on that side of the ball run way deeper than his absence, Tate was covering up a lot of deficiencies over the past year and a half.
And on Sunday night, he’ll be playing for a different team for the first time since 2013. It’s not going to be easy to watch Tate in an Eagles jersey, but there’s literally nothing easy about being a Lions fan.
The Eagles are hoping Tate helps reinvigorate their offense after a slow start to the season. And who better to test out this new offense than their bitter NFC East rivals: the Dallas Cowboys?
Dallas is having issues of their own. At 3-5, the Cowboys are threatening to fall out of the NFC playoff race completely, and coaches are already starting to feel the heat on their seat.
So this game is crucial for both teams. That could result in some good football entertainment, if you can stomach watching Tate in green.
