Sunday Night Football open thread: Vikings at Bears

A huge NFC North showdown looms.

NFL: Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears Matt Cashore-USA TODAY Sports

The Green Bay Packers lost. The Detroit Lions won.

Considering everything else going on this season, Week 11 has turned out to be pretty damn good so far. And there’s even better news coming: one of the top two teams in the NFC North is going to take a loss, too—unless there’s a tie.

The Chicago Bears are hoping to keep their spot atop the division at 6-3, but the 5-3-1 Minnesota Vikings are coming for them. Both teams appear to be trending in the right direction, and this game could have serious implications for the final division standings come Week 17.

The Lions will face the Bears in four days, so in case you forgot what they look like—even though Detroit played them a week ago—this is a good chance to get ahead on your scouting report for this week.
