I’m not the kind of person that’s willing or able to sell fool’s gold to a sucker. This week in the NFL is filled with a bunch of garbage games. In the first slate of seven games, there isn’t a single matchup between two teams with winning records. If you are one of the few heroes who aren’t in a fantasy league, there’s little reason to watch any of the 1 p.m. games, unless you’re just a fan of football—even in its ugliest forms.
That being said, there is one game that is probably worth keeping an eye on. The 5-5 Seattle Seahawks will be facing off against the Carolina Panthers, in a matchup that could very well decide an NFC Wild Card spot. Neither team is likely to catch their division leader (Rams and Saints, respectively), but both are right in the thick of things for a playoff spot. Not only will Sunday be an opportunity to gain a valuable game on the other, but picking up the tiebreaker could be essential come Week 17.
So my suggest: Watch that game or go play with whatever toys you picked up on Black Friday. If you’re sticking around to watch football, come chat with us in the comment section below.
