For the first time in nearly two weeks, the Detroit Lions held a full practice on Wednesday. With the Los Angeles Rams coming to town, the Lions will need all the help they can get to keep up with LA’s high-powered offense.
Unfortunately, they may be without two of their biggest offensive contriubtors on Sunday. Marvin Jones Jr. was already placed on injured reserve earlier in the week, and rookie running back Kerryon Johnson looks like he could miss his second-straight game with a knee injury. Johnson did not practice on Wednesday, indicating that he’s still struggling through the injury suffered against the Panthers.
Additionally, fullback Nick Bellore missed practice with an ankle injury.
In better news, Ezekiel Ansah is off the injury report for the first time since suffering his Week 1 shoulder injury. Ansah’s playing time has been steadily going up since returning to play against the Vikings, but each week he was limited in practice. Now that he’s off the injury report completely, it will be interesting to see if he will not only get a full set of snaps against the Rams, but notch his first start since Week 1.
Here’s a look at the full injury report from Wednesday:
FB Nick Bellore (ankle) - No practice
RB Kerryon Johnson (knee) - No practice
WR Bruce Ellington (back) - Limited practice
LB Jalen Reeves-Maybin (neck) - Limited practice
TE Michael Roberts (shoulder) - Limited practice
