Detroit Lions injury report: 4 starters miss Wednesday’s walkthrough

Perhaps due to the win, perhaps due to the lengthy injury report, but the Detroit Lions opted to go with another walkthrough on Wednesday. But after a rough day in Arizona, the Lions have one of their lengthiest injury reports of the year.

Not on the injury report are Ezekiel Ansah and Michael Roberts, as both were placed on injured reserve earlier in the week. Neither will play again this season, and both of their Lions careers are in the balance after disappointing seasons.

Unfortunately, it looks like a couple other players that suffered injuries last week are still dealing with them. Da’Shawn Hand (knee), Rick Wagner (concussion), Bruce Ellington (hamstring) and Charles Washington (hamstring) all didn’t participate in the walkthrough, meaning Detroit could be down another three starters this week against the Buffalo Bills.

In addition to that, rookie running back Kerryon Johnson remains out due to the knee injury suffered several weeks ago.

The rest of the injury report is mostly old injuries, but left tackle Taylor Decker is a new addition. Decker is dealing with a shoulder injury, but was listed as limited in practice. Decker, of course, suffered a shoulder injury in the 2017 offseason, which led to surgery. After he recovered halfway through the 2017 at returned to play, he has yet to miss a single game. It’s unclear if this shoulder injury is related to the torn labrum from last year.

Here’s a look at the Lions’ lengthy injury report.
