A few weeks ago, a fellow Detroit Lions asked me bluntly, “Is there ever a week when the entire Pride of Detroit staff picks against the Lions?”
I told the writer it probably happened when the staff was smaller once or twice, but now that the POD family is so big, there’s almost always at least one soul brave enough to take the Lions, even when they’re big underdogs.
Well, not this week. The Lions are as big as 11-point underdogs this week against the Los Angeles Rams, and most of the staff here thinks that number is way too low. Clearly some of the writers here have given up, predicting the Rams to lay 60 points (or more) on Detroit on Sunday. Others have a more conservative score prediction, like 27-24. That prediction belongs to Jerry Mallory, and he’s literally the only one who is even predicting a one-score game.
Here’s a look at the sad state of affairs with the Pride of Detroit staff.
Kellie Rowe (6-3): 174-13 Rams
Andrew Kato (5-4): 41-17 Rams
