The Detroit Lions will face off against the Los Angeles Rams down several key players on Sunday. With Marvin Jones Jr. already on injured reserve, the Lions will again be without rookie running back Kerryon Johnson and his backfield mate fullback Nick Bellore.
Johnson has been out for a couple weeks after suffering a knee injury against the Panthers. Bellore suffered an ankle injury sometime last week. Neither player was able to practice this week, so it’s no surprise that both will be INACTIVE against the Rams.
Elsewhere, Michael Roberts will miss his second game due to a knee injury suffered a couple weeks ago against the Bears. Oddly enough, Roberts returned to play against Chicago last week, but it appears he suffered a setback and will not play this week against the Rams.
The Lions also chose to make Teez Tabor inactive for the second straight week. Tabor has not appeared on the injury report, so it appears the Lions just aren’t confident with his play. It’s only Tabor’s second year in the NFL, but one has to wonder if his time with the Lions is coming near its end. The former second-round pick has had plenty of opportunities to make an impression with a shaky secondary, but it very clearly hasn’t worked out yet.
Here’s a look at the Week 13 inactives for both teams.
