Detroit Lions’ Bob Quinn, Matt Patricia to meet with media on Wednesday at NFL Combine

2 Bob Quinn press conferences in one month!

NFL: Combine Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

It’s NFL Combine week! Aside from the festivities surrounding all of the prospects for the 2018 NFL Draft, this is also the rare opportunity for fans to see their team’s management face the press.

For Detroit Lions fans, it’s an chance to hear from general manager Bob Quinn—a somewhat rare occurrence. Though we heard him speak earlier in the month during Matt Patricia’s official introductory press conference, Quinn mostly likes to operate in the shadows.

However, both Patricia and Quinn will have short, back-to-back 10-15 minute press conference at the NFL Combine this week on Wednesday.

This will be an chance to check up on the dynamic duo to see where their player evaluation currently lies. When we last checked in on the two, they were committed to watching Lions tape to evaluate their own roster to help make decisions on key free agents and identify the team’s biggest needs.

With free agency drawing closer, Quinn and company are most-likely close to making some roster decisions in the upcoming weeks. Will the Lions franchise tag Ezekiel Ansah? What will become of free agents like Tavon Wilson, Tahir Whitehead and Travis Swanson? Will they sign one of the marquee players headed to free agency?

While we’re unlikely to get direct answers to any of these questions, this will still be must-see TV for every Lions fan eager for free agency. And who doesn’t want to hear more from Matt Patricia at this point?

The Detroit Lions will be broadcasting the event live through their official periscope and Facebook pages. We will be simulcasting the event here at Pride of Detroit live at 10:30 a.m. ET on Wednesday. Be sure to tune it!
