If you aren’t familiar with “Bad Lip Reading,” be prepared for a treat. The idea is simple: Take a video clip, remove the audio, and provide your own commentary based on the movement of the people’s lips.
YouTube channel “Bad Lip Reading” has been doing this for six years now, and their most popular versions always seem to be when they tackle the NFL. The videos got so popular that fans once brought an orange peanut for Adrian Peterson to sign based on the series’ 2013 video.
This year’s version doesn’t seem to have a moment quite as iconic as that, but it does have several Detroit Lions related moments. Matthew Stafford is featured twice, and offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter makes a brief cameo, too.
As dumb as these videos are, they always seem to get a laugh out of me. If you want to catch up on previous versions of the NFL Bad Lip Readings, you can view them here, here, here, here, and here.
