The Detroit Lions announced another re-signing on Wednesday morning, just before free agency officially begins. The team has re-signed depth linebacker Nick Bellore to another contract:

Contract terms were not disclosed.
Bellore has been a depth and special teams player since joining the Lions in 2017. He also occasionally served as a makeshift fullback in certain situations. In fact, he caught the only touchdown of his NFL career last year on a perfect play-action pass against the Baltimore Ravens.
Bellore re-joins a linebacker squad that now includes two new free agent acquisitions. On Tuesday the Lions agreed to terms with both Devon Kennard and Christian Jones. Bellore will likely be behind both on the depth chart, but could battle Jones for some playing time both on defense and special teams.
The Lions have now officially re-signed the following players:
- DE Kerry Hyder
- LS Don Muhlbach
- S Tavon Wilson
- CB Nevin Lawson (unofficial)
- LB Nick Bellore
