There may have not been much of a trade market for Eric Ebron, but he sure seems like a hot commodity in free agency. The former Detroit Lions tight end already has meeting set up with three different teams, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The Panthers, Colts and Patriots are all scheduled to meet with him in the next few days (in that order):
Scheduled travel itinerary for former Lions’ TE Eric Ebron: Carolina on Friday, Indianapolis on Sunday, followed potentially by New England, per source.

The Panthers, in particular, would be an interesting landing spot for Ebron, seeing as the 24-year-old went went to high school in North Carolina and also attended UNC. There he could team up with veteran Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen and create some nasty two-TE sets for Ron Rivera.
The Lions remain on the search to fill the void left by Ebron’s release. They reportedly met with former Eagles tight end Brent Celek on Thursday, though there has been no update on how his visit in Detroit went.
