The first day of the NFL Combine workouts is in the books. The offensive linemen, running back and special teamers finished their day and made their lasting impacts on the NFL scouts in attendance.
If you need a recap of the day, Kent Lee Platte had the top three winners and bottom three losers from the running back group, a position the Detroit Lions could certainly be targeting early in the draft.
But Saturday is all about the other skill positions on offense. The quarterbacks, wide receivers and tight ends are all working out, and while those are the biggest areas of need for Detroit, they’re still very likely to take at least one of these players from the position, likely towards the end of the draft.
