Notes: Local burger shop owner thinks Lions coach Matt Patricia is ‘next Bill Belichick’

Noted Patriots fan and unofficial Matt Patricia expert Mark Wahlberg was in Detroit promoting a new Wahlburgers restaurant and had some nice things to say about the new Lions head coach, including calling him “the next Bill Belichick.”

Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press caught up with Lions running back Ameer Abdullah this weekend. Abdullah is excited to have his first full offseason to train, rather than having to rehab from an injury, and he came away from Week 1 of offseason training very impressed with Matt Patricia.
