Tuesday open thread: What is your favorite Detroit Lions mock draft?

Time to share your favorite Lions mock.

With the NFL Draft so near, it’s almost the end of mock draft season. Each year, thousands upon thousands of mock drafts come bearing down on the NFL blogosphere, and we eat up each and every one of them, because what else are we going to do? Watch the Red Wings Pistons Tigers?

The variety of mock drafts range from ignorant, to genius. From realistic to pie-in-the-sky.

So as consumers of more than enough Detroit Lions mock drafts over the past four months, it’s time to share the favorite one you’ve seen so far.

Today’s Question of the Day is:

What is the best Lions mock draft you’ve seen thus far?

My answer: I absolutely adore Zac Snyder’s 7-round mock draft for Detroit Jock City from late March. Here’s a look at the top four picks:

  1. EDGE Harold Landry
  2. RB Ronald Jones II
  3. DT Nathan Shepherd
  4. C Frank Ragnow

(See all seven rounds of Snyder’s draft here.)

Now, admittedly, this seems like a very far-fetched mock draft. A few of these players aren’t likely to be available when they were taken. Specifically, it would now be surprising to see Landry at 20 overall, and Ragnow in the fourth round would be one of the bigger steals in the draft. There are some that suggest Ragnow could even go in the first round. lists him as second or third-round prospect, but some are beginning to call him the best center in this year’s class.

But if this were to happen, the Lions would have picked up a potential 2018 starter in all four of their top needs. I would take this draft
