Lions veterans report to training camp Thursday

Training camp begins TODAY!

Happy training camp reporting day, everyone!

On Wednesday, NFL veterans from 22 different teams reported to camp, but the Detroit Lions didn’t get in on the fun. Instead, Lions veterans got an extra day of vacation and were due to report on Thursday.

No word yet if any Lions players have anything extravagant planned for arriving in Allen Park like Steelers receiver Antonio Brown, who reported to camp via a helicopter:

While the Lions won’t take the practice field for the first time until Friday morning (you can view the entire open practice schedule for training camp here), there’s something viscerally exciting about watching Lions players enter the training camp facility. I’m not sure if it’s just a signifier that football is nearly here, or the prospect of the team actually getting to work, but it’s happening Thursday, SO GET EXCITED.

Stick around with Pride of Detroit all day as we provide any updates, including any crazy arrivals to the facility, or any last-minute roster moves before the Lions take the field.
