Sunday open thread: Detroit Lions training camp Day 3 roll call

Are you coming to Sunday’s practice? Let us know!

Wake up, Detroit Lions fans! It’s time for Day 3 of training camp, and it’s the first open to the general public. Gates open at 8:15 a.m. ET, and practice will kick off about an hour after that.

But it’s not just the first day of practice open to everyone, it’s also the first day of padded practice. This means no more drills taken at a walk-through pace. No more trying to analyze the play of offensive and defensive linemen without any true contract. This is real football practice ready to be played, and we’re more than excited to be there to witness the action.

But after a couple days of lightly attended season-ticket holders only practices, I’m ready to see a slew of Lions fans in Allen Park on Sunday morning. So today’s Question of the Day is simply:

Are you going to be there?

My answer: I will be there again on Sunday, but I won’t be alone. Kent Lee Platte and Alex Reno are tentatively scheduled to be on hand, while there may be another staffer or two in attendance.

While I’ll obviously be a little busy working, I’m going to try and make it out there to talk to some people in between Matt Patricia’s press conference and the start of practice. If you’re going to be there, let us know!

Your turn.
