The long, long, long, long, long wait is over. Detroit Lions football is here, and it may be exhibition, but it’s real to me, gosh dangit. We get to watch Lions football tonight, and I couldn’t care less that it doesn’t matter. Just seeing them take the field has got me all warm inside.
The Matt Patricia era is upon us, and the Oakland Raiders will be the first team to feel his wrath... but with a softer, preseason edge. The two teams butted heads at practice all week in Napa, and now it’s time to settle things on the real stage—but, again, it’s not really real.
There’s still an hour until kickoff, so to get prepped for gametime, feel free to enjoy some of our fantastic preview coverage.

Throughout the entire game, we’ll be updating the post as notable things happen in the game. We’ll have highlights, injury and score updates, and anything else notable that happens. Just keep refreshing the page and you’ll continue to get up-to-date information.
Let’s have an amazing season, y’all. Lions football is back!
