Kelly, Matthew Stafford welcomed their third child before Friday’s game vs. Giants

Matthew Stafford spent Thursday afternoon going through a slow-paced joint practice with the New York Giants in preparation for the following day’s preseason game. On Friday, Stafford finally took the field for the first time, playing in three possessions before exiting the game with a modest statline of 2-for-5 for 51 yards.

In between those two events, Matthew, along with his wife Kelly, welcomed their third child to this world. According to Kelly’s Instagram page, their third child was born on Thursday night:

“Our newest little one joined us this past Thursday,” Kelly captioned. “Healthy & happy and we couldn’t be more grateful for that!”

No word yet on the gender or name of the baby, but the Stafford’s seem thrilled to have another child to join their twin girls, Chandler and Sawyer, who just turned one back in March.
