Lions-Raiders joint practices Day 1 live updates

The most anticipated day of training camp (thus far) is here! The Detroit Lions are in California to face off against the Oakland Raiders for a set of practices before their Friday exhibition game.

It’s both good experience and practice for Lions players, who will face off against a new face with a whole different set of skills and strengths. But it will also be a nice measuring stick to see how certain Lions players stack up against their NFL foes.

Unfortunately, the Pride of Detroit bus broke down on its way to Napa, California. We’re pretty sure—but can’t confirm—Erik Schlitt of Lions Wire put sugar in our gas tank.

So in order to keep up to date on what’s happening from joint practices, we’re all going to have to keep a keen eye on Twitter from the rest of the Lions beat. Thankfully, I’ve put together a nice little Twitter list so that you can follow along live (and thankfully I didn’t forget it this time).
