The Detroit Lions have their first 46-man gameday roster set for the 2018 season. Like every game, the Lions must name seven players that are inactive for the game against the New York Jets, and there were some interesting names listed on this week’s inactive list. Here’s a look:

OL Andrew Donnal
RB Ameer Abdullah
DT A’Shawn Robinson
G Joe Dahl
DE Romeo Okwara
WR Brandon Powell
CB Dee Virgin

Obviously two names here stick out immediately. Ameer Abdullah was expected to be the team’s kick returner, so to see him on the inactive list is a bit of a surprise. But the huge surprise is former second-round pick A’Shawn Robinson, who started training camp as a starter and has now hit a new low as a healthy scratch.

Elsewhere, Donnal is out with an injury while the other newly-added player, Romeo Okwara, is a healthy inactive, as he gets accustomed to the Lions’ new defensive scheme.

For the Jets, they will be without three different starters: linebacker Josh Martin (concussion), safety Marcus Maye (foot) and wide receiver Jermaine Kearse. Here’s a look at their full inactive list.

LB Josh Martin
S Marcus Maye
WR Jermaine Kearse
OL Ben Braden
G Dakota Dozier
DL Foley Fatukasi
CB Derrick Jones
