Say it with me: “Football can be fun and it will be fun. Football can be fun and it will be fun. Football can be fun and it will be fun.”
Last Sunday, the Madden sim correctly predicted the Detroit Lions would lose to the New York Jets on Monday night, but everyone had their own way of using the result to fulfill their own prophecy.
Some were convinced the iconic football video game franchise was pulling the ol’ bait and switch:
Which means they will win week 1. It's always the opposite of the sim

Others were not having any of it, writing off the results as inconceivable:
Not happening

And finally, some of the viewers were outright dismissive of how the game could be so wrong in its estimation of Matthew Stafford’s performance, all the way down to his stat line:
Yea I stopped watching after I seen Stafford hold the ball for 10secs in the pocket and then throw a horrible pass.

Stafford looked terrible though, he threw 3 picks.

It’s therapeutic. Say it with me: “Football can be fun and it will be fun. Football can be fun and it will be fun. Football can be fun and it will be fun.”
