The Detroit Lions will not quite be as healty as expected for their Week 2 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. While running back LeGarrette Blount will play on Sunday, defensive end Ezekiel Ansah will not go, despite earlier reports from both Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport that he was headed towards playing this week.
For today’s game against the #49ers, the #Lions are expected to have RB LeGarrette Blount (shoulder) and DE Ezekiel Ansah (shoulder), sources say.

Ansah was limited in practice all week and didn’t seem to test his shoulder much, which was injured in the first half of the game against the Jets. Ansah looked like one of the better defensive players out there in the debut, picking up a sack and four tackles on just 19 snaps. Having him out is going to hurt the Lions. Expect newly added Romeo Okwara to get some playing time in his place, along with Kerry Hyder Jr.
The Lions will also be without starting right guard T.J. Lang, who injured his back at the very end of the game last week. Either Kenny Wiggins or Joe Dahl are expected to start in his place.
