Thursday Night Football open thread: Jets at Browns

Will we finally see history be made tonight?

NFL: New York Jets at Cleveland Browns Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

Week 3 is here, which means before you know it, we’ll be a quarter of the ways into the season. That makes me sad. Things are going too fast, and I’m already fearful of the looming offseason, especially since things look dreary for our Detroit Lions.

But we don’t have to think about that tonight, because there’s an AFC matchup on “Thursday Night Football” that has nothing to do with the Lions other than the fact that one of the teams wiped the floor with Detroit in Week 1.

ARRRGH! STOP IT!

Ahem. The New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns face off tonight, and believe it or not, the Cleveland “We Haven’t Won a Game In like 50 tries or something” Browns are favored at home.

Considering the Browns are just a few unfortunate plays away from 2-0, it makes sense they’re at least getting some respect from oddsmakers. But can Sam Darnold keep Cleveland’s drought alive? That’s the question tonight. Actually, the question tonight is do you think that storyline is worth staying up an extra couple hours? Don’t worry, I won’t judge you.

Anyways, I’m not here to sway your opinion. I’m here to give you the facts. So if you’re inclined to watch on Thursday night, here’s how to do it.
