Before the Detroit Lions even announced their Week 4 inactives for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, we already knew that defensive end Ezekiel Ansah and tight end Michael Roberts were no-gos.
It turns out the Lions won’t be missing any other starters this week. Both wide receiver Golden Tate and linebacker Jarrad Davis—who popped up on the injury report late in the week with a hip and knee issue respectively—are active this week and will play vs. the Cowboys.
For Tate, it will mean he keeps his perfect attendance streak in Detroit alive. Tate has not missed a single game since the Lions signed him toa five-year deal back in 2014. He is also the Lions’ current leader in receptions (20) and receiving yards (257).
Davis has already dealt with a handful of injuries, including a neck and head issue last year. However, it doesn’t appear his knee injury is serious enough to keep him out. That’s good news for a Lions defense that has not taken Davis off the field for even a single snap in the past two weeks. He may also be key in stopping Ezekiel Elliott this week.
