Lions-Jets Week 1 injury report: Detroit’s starting lineup in perfect health, 3 Jets ailing

The two teams have very different injury report lengths.

The Detroit Lions will be entering Week 1 of the season with as much health as a team can realistically expect. They released their final injury report for Monday night’s game against the New York Jets, and it’s pretty clean. In fact, only offensive lineman Andrew Donnal—who was added to the team earlier this week—was listed as questionable for Monday. Every other Lions player was not given an injury designation.

The Jets, on the other hand, could be missing as many as three starters on Monday.

Starting linebacker Josh Martin—a projected starter) who has been working his way through a concussion—is officially OUT for Week 1.

Safety Marcus Maye missed his third straight practice on Saturday and is listed as doubtful vs. the Lions.

On the offensive side of the ball, things look bad for receiver Jermaine Kearse. Kearse had a medical procedure done on his abdomen recently, and missed Thursday’s practice. He has since been limited in practice and is listed as doubtful for Monday.

Here is the full injury report for both teams:

Lions injury report:

OL Andrew Donnal (knee) - OUT

Jets injury report:

WR Jermaine Kearse (abdomen) - Doubtful
S Marcus Maye (foot) - Doubtful
LB Josh Marin (concussion) - OUT
