LIVE: Watch the Week 1 matchup between Lions-Jets on Madden NFL 19

It’s not quite Monday night yet, but we have Madden, so we can pretend it is.

You didn’t think I forgot about you, did you?

For a third year in a row, the Pride of Detroit Madden simulation is back up and running for those of us who just can’t get enough football; whether it’s real or not, it matters not.

In year’s past, the Madden simulation has provided us with little foresight into what would happen on the Lions actual gameday, but it did give us a double overtime game against the Cleveland Browns, and isn’t that what we really want out of a video game rendering of an equally insane and whacky sport?

This week’s edition of the Madden sim sees the New York Jets, headed by Sam Darnold, come to Ford Field to take on the Detroit Lions.

Here’s the deal: According to Madden, the Jets aren’t good, the Lions aren’t either, so this one has all the makings to be either insanely cool or insanely boring.

Be sure to jump over to our live stream starting at 10:00 a.m. ET to keep up with the conversation and join a bunch of us who love to watch Madden be Madden. Also, these things are finally available on demand through Twitch, so if you can’t make the live broadcast, no biggie, you have 14 days to go back and check out all the action you missed out on.

Once the clock strikes 10:00 a.m. ET, the stream will begin below.

It’s Detroit Lions vs. New York Jets. This time, it’s (not) for real.
