You know it’s officially draft season when the college all-star games kick off. The East-West Shrine Game doesn’t get the attention of other draft events—like next week’s Senior Bowl or the entirely overhyped NFL Combine—but there’s undoubtedly some value in the game.
Some of the players that have been working their tails off all week in St. Petersburg, Florida will hear their named called over draft weekend and could have a huge impact on the next few years in the NFL. The East-West Shrine Game has produced talents like Brett Favre, Robert Porcher, Steve Smith and Jimmy Garoppolo.
This year, there are plenty of players to keep an eye on—our own Kent Lee Platte listed 14 of them here. So if you’re ready to get scouting, be sure to keep 3 p.m. ET on Saturday open on your schedule.
