It’s not often you see such a quick rematch in the NFL, but the Ravens and Chargers will get a chance to face off against each other just two weeks after meeting in Week 16. The stakes, this time, will be a little bigger.
The Chargers are hosting their first playoff game since 2009, when they dropped a 14-17 game to the New York Jets. This is their first playoff appearance in five years, but they’ve had a fairly decent 4-4 record in their last eight postseason games.
The Ravens, on the other hand, are playoff veterans. Though this is their first postseason appearance since the 2014 season, they’ve won eight playoff games in the past decade, including their Super Bowl championship for the 2012 season.
When the two teams played back in Week 16, the Ravens stole a road victory over the Chargers. That win ended up being the difference between winning the division and missing the playoffs completely. Their reward is the same Chargers team, but this time on their home turf (despite the Chargers’ superior record—12-4).
Will the Ravens be able to take advantage or will the Chargers exact revenge?
