If the Detroit Lions are going to truly compete in 2019, they’re going to need to start beating some good teams. You could argue they’ve already done so with the Eagles and Chargers, but those wins look a little more hollow after a rough Week 6 for both.
Even so, good teams don’t just steal a game or two against a good opponent. They consistently beat them. And for the Detroit Lions, that means beating the Green Bay Packers on “Monday Night Football” in Lambeau.
That’s a tall order, sure, but it’s not easy being a contender. You have to prove it week in and week out against the bad, the good and the great.
So if the Lions really want to prove they belong, two wins in four games isn’t going to cut it. They need to go streaking, and what better place to start then in the next two games against the Packers and Vikings?
Can they do it? Let’s find out. Kickoff is soon. Sound off in the comments.
