The Detroit Lions need a rebound game in the biggest way. After dropping Monday night’s emotional contest with the Green Bay Packers, the Lions are losers of two straight and find themselves in a familiar place: at the bottom of the NFC North standings.
But Detroit could make a huge move in Week 7. With the Minnesota Vikings in town, Detroit can get right back in the winning column and notch their first divisional win of the season. A win over Minnesota would guaranteed they’d finish the week no lower than third in the division. And with the schedule easing up a bit in the following weeks—Giants, Raiders—Sunday could mark the beginning of an important winning streak for Detroit.
But don’t count your chickens before they’re hatched, because this Vikings team is far from a pushover. They’re riding a two-game winning streak in which they were firing on all cylinders. They don’t have an obvious weakness, their defense is just as terrorizing as ever, and they’re finding their stride on offense, too.
So can Detroit pull off the upset? Come watch the first half with us.
