Now that the news has hit that the Detroit Lions have sent Quandre Diggs to the Seattle Seahawks for what amounts to be less than a fifth-round pick, Detroit will have to do some serious damage control in the locker room. Diggs was a captain, a leader, and an extremely good role model for a young Lions secondary that includes a second-year starting safety, a rookie safety and a rookie cornerback. That’s not even to mention the long-term friendships Diggs has already built in that locker room.
The emotional fallout has already started to leak into social media, as Lions All Pro cornerback Darius Slay was the first to react on Twitter, and he did not hold back.

This some bull shit here ♂️

Slay was far from the only one impacted by the loss of Diggs. Damon Harrison Sr. also expressed his shock:
Wowwwwwwwww no way

As did fellow defensive back Jamal Agnew:
Nooooooooooooooooo

And former Lions guard T.J. Lang:

And in case the Lions weren’t making it obvious on social media, there’s this:
Lions locker room is very unhappy with Q Diggs trade

Trading away key players and emotional leaders is always an unpopular move. Time will tell if Lions general manager Bob Quinn made the right decision, but for now, he’ll have to answer to an angry set of players.
