VIDEO: Trying to make sense of the Quandre Diggs trade

We try to make sense of a hard-to-understand situation.

The Detroit Lions shocked their fans and their players alike when they announced on Tuesday that they had traded safety Quandre Diggs and a seventh-round pick to the Seattle Seahawks for a fifth-round pick.

It’s a move that had many analysts scratching their heads and a lot of fans angry. Diggs, who was named captain by his teammates for the first time this year, was just given a three-year contract extension last year. Just a little over a year later, the Lions traded him away for a third-day draft pick.

So what gives? What are the Lions thinking? Is something else about to come down the line? Is the Lions’ 2019 season over at this point? How does Matt Patricia salvage the locker room after a transaction that will impact the morale of so many players on the team?

This move raises a ton of question about the future of this team, and so we tried to get together to give as many answers as possible.

Myself, John Whiticar and Chris Perfett hopped on our Twitch channel to talk about the moves, along with the impact of Kerryon Johnson’s injury and placement on injured reserve. You can watch our reactions below (This will also be put on our podcast feed later for those that prefer just an audio medium).
