Detroit Lions safety Tracy Walker left the teams Week 8 matchup against the New York Giants in the third quarter with an injury. He left the game on a touchdown play by tight end Evan Engram.

Walker limped off of the field with some help from the trainers. He went straight to the locker room. The Lions are calling him questionable to return with a knee injury.

The second-year safety out of Louisiana was set to play a larger role on the defense with the recent trade of Quandre Diggs to the Seattle Seahawks. His injury now leaves the team without much depth in their defensive backfield.

Walker led the team with six tackles in the game before having to leave with the injury. He also nearly had an interception in the first quarter, but he was ruled out of bounds on the play.

Rookie safety Will Harris is expected to fill his role in the short term.
