Can they win enough to make a playoff push?

We’ve made it through the first eight weeks of the NFL season. In a typical year, a 9-7 finish might just be enough to make the playoffs, but this season it looks like it’s going to be much tougher.

Both the Packers (7-1) and Vikings (6-2) are starting to separate themselves in the NFC North. And the Lions are currently on the outside looking in after losing to the Packers and Vikings.

They do still have time to make up ground throughout the season.

Here’s what the Lions have left for them this season:

The Lions will most likely need to win seven of their next nine games in order to make the playoffs. That brings me to today’s question of the day:

How many more games will the Lions win this season?

My answer: Five

Are there seven games the Lions can win? Absolutely.

But the Lions need to prove to me that they can string together a few wins in a row before I’ll start to become a believer. The Lions have two big road games ahead. If they can win the next two, I might start to change my mind about where this team is headed.

What do you think?
