I am sad, how about you?

With another disappointing Detroit Lions loss in the books, and any hopes of the playoffs dwindling, you either have to look forward to the NFL Draft or entertaining football. After witnessing two poor offenses duke it out in Chicago, tonight we get to watch two offenses on the opposite end of the spectrum. The Minnesota Vikings and Dallas Cowboys face off on Sunday Night Football.

Minnesota’s recent resurgence suffered a speed bump in a loss to the Patrick Mahomes-less Kansas City Chiefs, but at 6-2 in the NFC North, they are in a good position to make the playoffs. Their defense remains an elite unit, and while Kirk Cousins has his ups and downs, he has a talented cast around him. One important member of that offense will miss this game, however. Adam Thielen has been ruled out with a hamstring injury, and the burden of the receiving corps will fall on Stefon Diggs.

The Cowboys and undergoing their own resurgence, having won two consecutive games in crushing fashion. A 37-10 victory over the Eagles and a 37-18 victory over the Giants have turned the Cowboys around, putting the three-straight losses to the Saints, Packers, and Jets behind them. While the Eagles are nipping at their heels in the NFC East, Dallas is looking like a greatly improved team and a potential playoff threat.
