They say that misery loves company, and you wouldn’t want to leave me alone right now, would you?

So come hang out with us this Sunday afternoon as the Detroit Lions (3-5-1) take on the Dallas Cowboys (5-4) at Ford Field.

The Lions return to home after dropping two straight on the road to the Raiders and Bears. The two losses have pretty much dropped the Lions out of the playoff picture for good, and the loss of Matthew Stafford to a back injury—that may be more serious than previously thought—makes a bad situation worse. We saw this Lions offense deflate last year around this time after Golden Tate was traded, now fans are worried about a similar drop following the loss of their star quarterback.

The Cowboys aren’t exactly where they want to be at 5-4, but they remain in the driver’s seat in the NFC East despite last week’s disappointing loss to the Vikings. They still need to prove they belong with the NFC elite, as they don’t have a defining win on their resume.

Of course, this week won’t provide them that opportunity, but they can’t afford another slip-up like they had with the Jets a few week back.

So let’s endure this together. They can break our hearts but they can’t break our spirit.
