Though the Lions were missing seven players from practice on Wednesday (eight if you include Nick Bawden, who was placed on IR), Detroit’s first injury report of the week is actually a little smaller than normal.
Detroit was missing quarterback Matthew Stafford, center Frank Ragnow, defensive linemen Da’Shawn Hand and Trey Flowers, safety Tracy Walker and special teamers Jamal Agnew and punter Sam Martin.
However, aside from all that, only two other players made Detroit’s Week 12 injury report. Reserve safety C.J. Moore is dealing with a hamstring injury and was limited. Meanwhile right tackle Rick Wagner was limited with his concussion, suggesting he still needs to progress through concussion protocol before being eligible to play this week.
For Washington, it was all about the running backs. For the first time since Week 6, Chris Thompson returned to practice after suffering a toe injury. In the first six games of the season, Thompson pulled in 38 catches for 276 yards. However, starter Adrian Peterson sat out of practice with a toe injury of his own.
Here’s the full report for both teams.
