Hey Lions fans, are you excited for some football? Since the Lions lost to Washington in disappointing fashion totally did not play football today, we can instead turn to Sunday Night Football for some entertaining action!
The San Francisco 49ers have been on a roll this season. Even after dropping their first and only game to the Seahawks in Week 10, the 49ers bounced back in a solid performance against the Cardinals. Their defense remains one of the league’s best, led by rookie Nick Bosa. However, their run game has been quiet as of late, coming off of two sub-100 yard rushing games. They will benefit from the likely return of George Kittle, who can block as excellently as he can catch. He and Deebo Samuel figure to be frequent targets for Jimmy Garoppolo.
The Green Bay Packers, meanwhile, are looking to gain some distance on the Minnesota Vikings, who are nipping at their heels in the NFC North. With the Lions and Bears non-competitors in 2019, both teams will be fighting for playoff spots. The Packers, as is, have a lead in the division and are fresh off a bye. Aaron Jones had three rushing touchdowns against the Panthers, though he will face a tougher matchup tonight.
