After a methodical first drive for the Chicago Bears that ended in a touchdown, the Detroit Lions needed a quick answer. With David Blough starting at quarterback, confidence was down pretty low.
But it didn’t take long for Blough to make a play. After a Bo Scarbrough rush for no gain and an incomplete pass, Kenny Golladay beat Bears CB Prince Amukamara about 10 yards out from the line of scrimmage. It was short work then for Blough, who put it home for a 75 yard touchdown to put the Lions on the board.
David Blough's first career NFL completion?

Blough has since a series of excellent throws on the Lions next possession and found Marvin Jones Jr. for a second touchdown pass. The early scoring has definitely given confidence to a Lions team that wasn’t looking hot coming into the game, and had fallen to five point underdogs at home in Las Vegas.
