The Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears are both nearly out of the playoff race and it’s only Week 10. However, the two teams are at the opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to injuries. The Bears only have two players listed on their Wednesday report while the Lions have 13.

For Detroit, four contributors did not practice at all: punter Sam Martin (abdomen), defensive tackle Da’Shawn Hand (ankle), guard Joe Dahl (ankle) and safety Tracy Walker (knee).

But there were also some new names to the injury report this week. In addition to Hand and Dahl, who are dealing with new ankle injuries, Matthew Stafford has an added injury to his report. Though he’s been dealing with a hip injury for several weeks now, he’s also apparently dealing with a back injury now that had him limited on Wednesday.

Also, Jesse James (back) and Danny Amendola (hand) are new to the injury list, but both were full participants on Wednesday.

For the Bears, the only significant injury is to defensive tackle Eddie Goldman, who left Sunday’s game early with a thigh injury. He did not practice on Wednesday.
