After what Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia called “a physical game” against the Minnesota Vikings, the team took a day off normal practice and decided to just do a walkthrough on Wednesday. A quick look at their injury report makes it easy to understand why the coaching staff made this decision. Seven players didn’t participate in the practice, including Matthew Stafford (back), Jarrad Davis (ankle/knee), A’Shawn Robinson (shoulder) and offensive linemen Rick Wagner (knee) and Joe Dahl (back/knee).
In addition to those that sat, seven more players were listed on the injury report. New to the report this week is linebacker Christian Jones (shoulder, limited) and running back Bo Scarbrough (ribs, limited).
Detroit is hurting especially on the offensive line and at linebacker, where two starters—Dahl and Wagner on the offensive line, Davis and Jones at linebacker—missed practice.
It’s a lengthy report, so here’s just a quick look at it
