Detroit Lions Week 15 injury report: Bo Scarbrough misses Thursday practice

It’s (still) official. We, as Detroit Lions fans, cannot have nice things.

The Lions released their Thursday injury report, and it was somehow even worse than Wednesdays. All seven of the players that didn’t practice on Wednesday, including quarterback Matthew Stafford, left guard Joe Dahl and linebacker Jarrad Davis, among others, did not practice on Thursday either. (The only exception was J.D. McKissic, whose absence on Wednesday was not injury related. He is not on Thursday’s report).

And one of the few, young players that was actually showing some promise, running back Bo Scarbrough, joined them today.

Scarbrough was signed to the practice squad in the beginning of November. When he was promoted to the active 53 on November 16, he immediately made an impact. In each of his four starts since, he’s had at least 55 rushing yards, and he has averaged a solid 4.2 yards per carry.

If Scarbrough can’t play this week, the Lions will have to rely on their two healthy running backs: rookie Ty Johnson and veteran J.D. McKissic. They could also promote Wes Hills from the practice squad. Next week, Kerryon Johnson become eligible to return to the roster, but he cannot play this week against the Buccaneers.

Here’s the full injury report for Thursday.
