NFL Week 16 early games open thread

Hang out and watch some football while we await the Lions.

The Detroit Lions have a rare late game this week, and while some of us wait to see what happen when they face off against yet another rookie quarterback, the early set of games has some interesting matchups to watch.

For Lions fans, the games you’ll probably want to keep an eye on are Bengals vs. Dolphins and Giants vs. Washington—the two games that include the four teams above Detroit in draft order.

But even if you don’t want to obsess about the draft in December, there are a few interesting games to watch. Saints vs. Titans has playoff implications for both teams, albeit in separate conferences. The Steelers and Ravens are both in action for the early slate, and both are hungry for wins to keep their current position intact.

Of course, many of the big playoff games are awaiting in the later slate of games, but sadly that’s when we’re stuck with the Lions.
