Observations:

• Merry Christmas! The Lions finally played all five starting offensive linemen for 100 percent of the snaps. This is the first time this has happened all season. Is it a coincidence that the Lions had one of their best rushing performances of the year? You decide.
• Kerryon Johnson got his first start and saw a significant bump in playing time from last week. He responded with his highest yards per carry in a single game this season (4.8).
• With an injury to Isaac Nauta, Jason Cabinda got a single snap as a fullback on Kerryon Johnson’s touchdown run.
• Similarly, Jamal Agnew got a big bump in offensive playing time thanks to the injury to Kenny Golladay. Travis Fulgham also got a big bump, but he still still seeking his first NFL reception.

Observations:

• With all the injuries at linebacker, Miles Killebrew nearly tripled his defensive snaps on the year. He came into Week 17 with just 29 snaps to his name, and played double that on Sunday. Rookie edge defender Austin Bryant also saw a significant increase after Devon Kennard went down with an injury.
• Justin Coleman again got the nod over Amani Oruwariye, but when Darius Slay struggled to stay healthy late, the rookie cornerback managed to get a good chunk of playing time.
• Tavon Wilson and Tracy Walker never left the field. Wilson has a very good case to see a pay raise in 2020, should the Lions want to keep him around again.
• Anthony Pittman made his NFL debut on Sunday and played nearly one-fifth of the defensive snaps. He had one tackle and a quarterback hit.
